How did you get into design and art direction?

I was offered a graphic design internship in 2015 with Jen Wagner Co. That really jumpstarted everything. I feel like I’ve always been an art director—from building my own brand and assisting friends and family with their projects, it’s a trait I inherited from my very talented mother—but professionally, probably back when I started working at Basic.Space in 2020. The creative team consisted of me, my copywriter, and my creative director. It was just us coming up with the ideas for launches and then I would execute the ideas and bring them to life.

What are some of your other creative outlets?

At my core, I’m simply someone who loves to create—always have, always will. Whether it’s fashion, music, food, or content creation, I’m constantly inspired by the beauty in everyday life. Back in 2018, I released a single that went on to land four TV placements, which was such a fun full-circle moment.

These days, you’ll find me creating fashion, beauty, and wellness content for my Instagram, experimenting with new recipes, and pouring my heart into storytelling through visual and written forms.

I’ve been an entrepreneur since I was 13—my first business was a crocheted apparel line that I sold at craft shows and boutiques (yes, really!). From sketching and painting to blogging, calligraphy, fashion design, photography, videography, songwriting, interior styling, and creative direction… if it’s a creative outlet, there’s a good chance I’ve tried it.

What / who is inspiring you right now?

Nikki Cruz is a big one, she’s an incredible photographer. Branding and marketing wise, Merit Beauty all the way. Their marketing team is constantly deserving of a raise haha. My staple inspirations will always be Ralph Lauren, Nancy Meyers, and Martha Stewart— classy and timeless.
